Danielle Westermann rejoined COPE Health Solutions as a Director in August of 2018. She oversees the COPE Health Scholars programs at multiple locations in Southern California within the Kaiser Permanente system. In her role, Mrs. Westermann engages with internal staff and client leadership to develop transformational educational programs that prepare students for careers in health care and drive value for her clients from patient experience to operational excellence. She has a specific focus on service line operations and strategy as well as engagements focused on population health management, care navigation and management and accountable care organizations (ACOs).
Prior to her current role, Mrs. Westermann was an ACO Account Manager, Performance and Strategy, within the MassHealth Payment and Care Delivery Innovations team at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services from 2016 to 2018. In this role, Danielle was responsible for interfacing with six ACOs and managing them from contract negotiations through the launch and first quarters of the MassHealth ACO Program under the state’s 1115 waiver. Before Mrs. Westermann’s role with MassHealth, she was a Regional Manager with COPE Health Solutions.
Mrs. Westermann graduated from Boston College with a master’s degree in Social Work concentrated in health and mental health policy. Prior to her time at Boston College, she graduate Summa Cum Laude from Saint Mary’s College of California with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. While at Saint Mary’s, she participated in several international relief and development trips which sparked her passion for social justice.
