For more than 60 years, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian has stood on the bluffs in Newport Beach, CA, as a beacon of exceptional healthcare. A place where the best and brightest physicians care for their patients with the support of highly skilled nurses and a wide range of dedicated staff. Hoag offers a comprehensive mix of health care services including institutes specializing in care for cancer, heart and vascular, neurosciences and women’s health, and orthopedics through Hoag’s affiliate, Hoag Orthopedic Institute. Its Newport Beach Campus has a 500-bed capacity and its Irvine Campus has a 250-bed capacity. Scholars have the opportunity to rotate through both campuses or may choose to stay at one campus for the duration of the program.

Health Professions Shadowing

As a Health Scholar, you may have the opportunity to shadow a health professional preceptor in addition to clinical opportunities. Preceptors include Physicians and Physical Therapists in one or more of the following areas:

• Palliative Care
• Rehabilitation
