Amari O’Bannon joined COPE Health Solutions as a Program Manager in April 2019. As Program Manager, Ms. O’Bannon oversees the professional and educational development of the COPE Health Scholars program at California Hospital Medical Center in Downtown Los Angeles. Her role includes operational oversight, training and supervision of departmental expansion projects.
Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. O’Bannon was an Operations Manager at Brentwood Center for Wellness, where she assisted a holistic care provider with HIPAA compliance, operational organization and improvements to patient experience.
Ms. O’Bannon graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature and a minor in Psychology. Upon graduating from Georgetown, Ms. O’Bannon became a birth doula and childbirth educator. She also serves as a member of DONA International and the International Childbirth Education Association, which provide families and birth workers with evidence based education, and the Joy in Birthing Foundation, a non-profit doula organization that provides childbirth education, birth and postpartum doula assistance to expecting parents in the foster care system and low-income parents.
