David Pizzimenti is Program Manager for the Health Scholars program at MultiCare Tacoma General & Allenmore hospitals in Tacoma, Washington. The Health Scholar Program in Tacoma was established in 2021. Mr. Pizzimenti’s goals are to expand the program through community outreach efforts and partnerships with local colleges/universities and community organizations. Mr. Pizzimenti is responsible for program operations at MultiCare Tacoma; including maintaining and meeting consistent recruitment goals, providing professional development and mentorship to scholars, and developing processes for program operations.
Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, David worked with the public and nonprofit sectors for over a decade, managing programs focused on workforce training and development, adult services, and benefits access. In various management roles, David has been responsible for program design, recruiting and building teams, program launch, budget, and outcomes reporting to build and maintain value to clients and partner organizations. As a Senior Consultant, David provided research services to a national consulting firm which provides strategic planning services to the private and nonprofit sectors.
David has also held volunteer positions in the nonprofit and public sectors for many years. His service includes a citizen advocacy internship with the Detroit City Council President, and work as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Wayne County Juvenile Court. David’s management development included selection to emerging leadership programs with both the Southeast Michigan Senior Regional Collaborative, and the Leadership Academy at Adult Well Being Services in Detroit. David holds a B.S. in History/Political Science from Eastern Michigan University.
