Essence Parker joined the COPE Health Solutions team in July 2022 as a Program Manager where she manages the COPE Health Scholar program at Kaiser Permanente Anaheim. In this role, Ms. Parker oversees the daily logistical operations; including leadership development, mentoring, recruitment and retention initiatives, with the goal of expanding the Health Scholar and Junior Health Scholar programs.
Ms. Parker uses her passion for the betterment of the youth, senior, mentally ill and other vulnerable populations to fuel her work in Human and Social Services.
Ms. Parker has invested over ten years of leadership experience in the non-profit, educational, private, public health, and workforce development settings; with a high concentration on adult learning and professional development.
Over the span of her career, Ms. Parker has served as an Adjunct Professor at Southern California University of Health Sciences and has worked in partnership with various Workforce Development Boards facilitating Management Skills/Leadership Training courses.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science and a Master of Arts in Organizational Development & Leadership.
