Evelin Ambrocio Silva joined the COPE Health Solutions team in October 2020 as a Float Program Manager. She will be managing the COPE Health Scholars program at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. In this role, Mrs. Ambrocio Silva will directly oversee day-to-day operations, focusing on the educational endeavors and the direct expansion of the program. Mrs. Ambrocio Silva serves as a guide to the COPE Health Scholars program Leadership team and participants by focusing on their leadership and professional development in preparation for the workforce.

Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Mrs. Ambrocio Silva was enrolled in the COPE Health Scholars program from 2016 to 2020 at St. John’s Hospitals in Camarillo and Oxnard, California. Throughout her time in the program, Mrs. Ambrocio Silva had the privilege of experiencing the program as a participant, a Leadership and Executive team member, and as a Health Scholar Assistant, accruing more than 1,000 hours in the program. First serving as a Training and Recruitment Coordinator and later advancing to the Director of Training and Education. She successfully facilitated St. John’s first hybrid training, focusing on maintaining social distancing and upholding CDC guidelines, ensuring the COPE Health Scholars program participants and their families’ safety as the main priority.

Mrs. Ambrocio Silva graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a focus on Cell and Developmental Biology. During her undergraduate career, Mrs. Ambrocio Silva served as a guide and mentor to others. As a first-generation college student, she focused on giving back to her peers, mentoring first-generation, first-year, and pre-biology college students, serving as a Teaching Assistant, Orientation Staff Member, and as the New-Member Educator for her Pre-Health Sorority. Her dedication to giving back earned her the Dean of Undergraduate Education Award and the Senior Individual Co-Curricular Award in 2018.

Mrs. Ambrocio Silva is passionate about Women’s Health and working with underserved communities, aspiring to become a physician and focusing on these communities. She continues to expand her knowledge, most recently by obtaining her Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing, and Emergency Medical Technician licenses.
