Kalyn Saulsberry joined COPE Health Solutions as a Program Manager for the Health Scholar Program in Los Angeles in June 2018. In this role, Ms. Saulsberry oversees program operations and focuses on building an impactful experience both for program participants and the hospital’s staff.
Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Saulsberry served as a Senior Analyst at the Advisory Board (now Optum). In this role, she conducted research on best practices related to patient engagement, hospital sustainability, and inpatient-setting design that informed strategic decision-making of hospital executives across the country. Ms. Saulsberry also worked at Google and Facebook where she supported recruiting and diversity initiatives.
Ms. Saulsberry is dedicated to working on behalf of vulnerable populations and ensuring that the next generation of health care leaders is equipped to continue increasing access to quality care. Passionate about mentoring and education, Ms. Saulsberry has also served as a mentor to high-school students through the organization Sponsors for Educational Opportunity.
Ms. Saulsberry received her BA in history with a focus on the history of medicine from Harvard University. While at Harvard, she volunteered at Massachusetts General Hospital, connecting patients to external resources that supported their post-discharge care needs.
