Sarah Ritz joined the COPE Health Solutions team as a Program Manager in April 2019. As Program Manager Ms. Ritz is involved in the implementation of the COPE Health Scholars Program at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Her role includes supervision of all program operations with a focus on program expansion, recruitment, training and the professional development of the program participants.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Ritz interned as an Epidemiology Researcher with the Pacific Islands Health Officers’ Association where she was involved in non-communicable disease prevention efforts in The Republic of the Marshall Islands. During her time there, she taught introductory epidemiologic principles to health care providers to improve data collection and patient satisfaction throughout the clinics in Ebeye.
Ms. Ritz graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Fielding School of Public Health with a master’s degree in Public Health, with a concentration in Epidemiology. While at UCLA, she dedicated her time to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in the department of Life Sciences. Prior to her time at UCLA, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Davis.
