Virginia Mason joined COPE Health Solutions in August 2019 as Program Manager at Adventist Health Glendale. In her role, Ms. Mason focuses on recruiting and mentoring future health care professionals while overseeing the on-site operations and program development for the Health Scholar program.
Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Mason was the Program Manager for the Department of College Housing and Residential Services at the University of Chicago. Within this role, she oversaw a variety of projects ranging from hall opening/closing, student research grants, event planning, and creation of staff communication. The role allowed her to learn the intricacies of university networks, in addition to enhancing her project management and student experience skills.
Ms. Mason received her Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Illinois at Chicago with specialty tracks in Maternal and Child Health and Global Health. During her time at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ms. Mason served as a Graduate Research Assistant within the Department of Disability and Human Development as well as Vice President for the Global Health Student Interest Group. Additionally, she actively worked on several research projects centered on maternal health within global communities. Prior to receiving her MPH, Ms. Mason graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with her Bachelors in Science with a major in Biology and minor in Theology.
