Summer Frost joined COPE Health Solutions in February 2024 as a program manager at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California. As a Program Manager, Ms. Frost serves as a link between COPE Health Scholars, Riverside Community Hospital. She uses her previous experiences to coordinate and improve program operations, her responsibilities include but are not limited to recruitment, training, leadership development, mentoring, and providing professional development opportunities to participants as they pursue their health care careers.
Ms. Frost is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a bachelor’s in Women and Gender Studies from Georgia State University and a master’s in Public Health from Emory University. She previously worked for Fulton County Government as Health Program Manager and prior to that she worked with the Fulton County Board of Health as a Senior Health Educator. During the COVID-19 pandemic she played a crucial role in emergency response efforts by managing various testing and vaccination sites in Georgia.
Community Service is very important to Ms. Frost, she previously served as a Peace Corps Volunteer for two years in Botswana. Ms. Frost extended her contract for an additional year to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer Leader and was able to support the CDC’s “Botswana Combination Prevention Project”. She has over 10 years of international experience as a public health professional and has developed expertise: working with vulnerable populations, organizing conferences, engaging communities, developing & implementing trainings and capacity building organizations.
