Adventist Health Glendale (AHG) is a 515-bed hospital built on the Seventh-day Adventist faith and mission to improve the health of communities and to share God’s love by promoting healing and wellness for the whole person. Since its founding in 1905 as the Glendale Sanitarium, countless patients have entrusted AHG’s physicians, nurses and associates with their health care needs. Today it is the largest medical center serving the San Fernando Valley, with 800 physicians and 2,400 associates.

Health System Opportunities

As a Health Scholar, you may have the opportunity to explore Administrative opportunities in addition to clinical opportunities. For those interested in administration, you will typically complete at least one clinical rotation and then apply for an administrative department; however, at AHG, Scholars can be involved in some projects as early as their first month in the program while concurrently serving in a clinical area. The departments and projects vary based on the site’s needs. Here are examples of recent administrative opportunities at this site:
