Enrollment Fees Breakdown
- Application Fee
The application fee covers the cost of processing the application.
Tuition includes instruction, a completion certificate from UCLA’s Executive Programs in Health Policy & Management, Princeton Review MCAT prep course and materials, CPR certification, workshops, social activity, uniform shirts and clearance costs. This is a one-time payment that covers the entire duration of the program.
- Room and Board (optional)
This includes housing, some meals and transportation stipend.
• Cancellation 30 days or more before program start: 100% refundable (minus enrollment fee)
• Cancellation 15-29 days before program start: 50% refundable (minus enrollment fee)
• Cancellation 14 days or less before program start: No refund
• Cancellation 45 days or more before arrival date: 100% refundable (minus deposit)
• Cancellation 44-30 days before arrival date: 50% refundable (minus deposit)
• Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival date: No refund

Other Program Costs
- Immunizations, TB Screening & Titers
All Scholars will need to have current immunizations and recent TB screenings during the clearance process. You may also be asked to get titers, which are blood tests that check for immunity to certain diseases. Requirements vary by site and will be discussed further during interviews. Immunizations are generally covered by health insurance or may be obtained from a school health center or low-cost community clinics. You may need to obtain the titers at your own expense.
- CPR Certification
Scholars are required to carry current CPR certification at the level of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers through the American Heart Association. CPR certification is included in tuition for the Intensive Pre-Med Scholar program.
All Scholars are expected to wear khaki pants, white non-canvas shoes, and a white polo shirt to training.
- COPE Connect Membership
COPE Connect, the COPE Health Scholars alumni network, establishes lifelong engagement with our alumni through an online and in-person community of health care professionals and pre-professionals joined by a commitment to professional development and a culture of lifelong learning. COPE Connect is a valuable resource for the wide range of COPE Health Scholar alumni looking to connect, continue the journey of lifelong learning, access new career opportunities and grow professionally. Your tuition includes a one-year membership to COPE Connect. Membership automatically renews annually at the rate of $30 per year; however, when the tuition payment is submitted, an opt-out is available. COPE Connect offers members-only discounts, networking events, workshops and more.

If an applicant is unable to meet the financial requirements and timeline outlined in the Payment and Refund policy (found here), the applicant will indicate so when they receive their conditional acceptance and sign their Payment Policy Agreement, due no later than five (5) business days after letter is received. A financial assistance application must be submitted with the Payment Policy Agreement if an applicant will require tuition assistance.
Applicants MUST apply for the program and be conditionally accepted before their financial assistance application will be considered. The maximum amount an applicant may receive for tuition assistance is $250.
Only applicants that apply by the Early Bird deadline (September 17, 2018) will be eligible to apply for tuition assistance, and final decisions will be made by (November 1, 2018). Applicants applying after September 17, 2018 will have a payment plan option only.

Scholars cannot transfer to another location unless they transition into the Health Scholar program upon completing the Intensive Pre-Med program.
Scholars who choose to transfer to another site as will need to pay a fee of $75.
